With its majestic fountains and a spectacular view of Cayuga Lake, Dillingham Center is one of Ithaca's most distinctive structures. Six main stage theater productions are mounted here each year, ranging from Shakespearean classics to Broadway blockbusters.
The interior offers students acting studios, design and sound studios, dressing rooms, a costume shop, and dance studios that accommodate ballet, jazz, tap, and modern dance classes.
Its performance spaces are varied and flexible. Hoerner Theatre is a 535-seat proscenium house. The audience area is approximately 68 feet deep by 58 feet wide, and seating is continental in form. Clark Theatre is a 220 flexible seat house having approximately 500 square feet of playing area when used in the full round. Other configurations that can be achieved are end stage, three-quarter thrust, and half round.
