The Center for Academic Advancement provides academic support and resources for all Ithaca College students, regardless of school or major. The Center is comprised of the Academic Advising Center, Tutoring Services, and Student Accessibility Services. Close partnerships between all three areas mean that the Center can seamlessly help students answer questions and find resources.

The Academic Advising Center (AAC) empowers students to engage in thoughtful educational planning, assisting them in making informed decisions about their academic and life goals through collaborative and supportive partnerships with students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The AAC is comprised of professional academic advisors who partner with faculty and staff across campus to help students engage in thoughtful educational planning and goal setting.

Tutoring Services strives to become the standard of excellence for academic assistance. The provision of comprehensive academic support services is one indicator of Ithaca’s strong commitment to student academic success. Most students can benefit from tutoring at one time or another during their undergraduate years.

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) aims to build on student strengths, working together to consider strategies for overcoming obstacles so that students can maximize their academic potential. Student Accessibility Services works in partnership with students, faculty, and staff to develop and implement accommodation plans that provide equal access to college experiences to students with documented disabilities.
